On behalf of the Lutheran Church of the Sudan (LCSS), I extend our deepest gratitude for your faithful partnership, prayers, generosity, and unwavering support throughout 2026. Your commitment to Christ's mission has made a profound difference in the lives of countless people across South Sudan, Ethiopia, and Uganda.
This year has been one of remarkable growth and blessing. Through God's grace and the support of our partners, the LCSS welcomed new congregations in South Sudan, Ethiopia, and Uganda, expanding our ministry and bringing the hope of the Gospel to new communities. These growing congregations are transforming lives and strengthening the witness of the Church throughout East Africa.
We are especially thankful for your support in establishing one of the largest theological and academic libraries in our region. The importation of 15,279 books has created extraordinary opportunities for students, pastors, researchers, and community members. The construction of the new library building and the Nursing Skills Laboratory will continue to serve future generations for years to come.
We express special appreciation to the mission team from King of Kings Lutheran Church in Omaha, Nebraska, and Christ the King Lutheran Church in Kingwood, Texas. Your donation of laptops, library training, and pastoral seminars on prayer enriched both our educational and spiritual ministries. Your presence among us was a source of encouragement and fellowship.
We are also deeply grateful for your compassionate response to the humanitarian crisis that affected thousands of displaced refugees fleeing conflict in the Nasir and Ulang counties of South Sudan. Your financial support provided emergency food assistance during a critical time of need. Through your generosity, suffering families experienced both practical help and the love of Christ. We also thank God for your support in constructing Luakdong Lutheran Church, providing a spiritual home for refugee communities seeking hope and healing.

Our sincere thanks also go to those who contributed to educational development through the construction of the five-classroom building supporting Trinity Lutheran College and Trinity Lutheran Seminary. Your investment in Christian and secular education is preparing future church and community leaders.
When a devastating storm struck Gambella and destroyed church offices and equipment, your response was immediate and generous. We are particularly thankful to Christ the King Lutheran Church and other supporting congregations in Texas for helping replace critical equipment and assisting with the rebuilding efforts. Your partnership enabled us to recover and continue our ministry without losing hope.
Because of your faithful support, the year concluded with many celebrations, including the graduation of 287 seminary and college students, the ordination and commissioning of three pastors, and a successful Annual Gathering that strengthened our church and leadership.
Your partnership is a powerful testimony that the body of Christ transcends borders, cultures, and nations. Together, we are proclaiming the Gospel, educating future leaders, serving those in need, and building God's kingdom.
