He told them "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field."

CTK & Church Planting

Beginning in 2015 Christ the King began partnering with Lamb of God Lutheran Church in Humble for church start-ups in our region. The first planting pastor, Seth Kunze, arrived in 2016, and in 2017 The Dwelling was launched  (thedwellingtx.org)

Resurrection Lutheran in Spring joined this network of sending churches in 2017, and in 2018 Mark and Laura Pulliam were called by Resurrection to start Lazarus Church along the Grand Parkway near Rayford Road in Spring.  They begin meeting every Sunday for worship starting January 5, 2020. David Wray and Unveil Church joined Harvest Parnership in 2018 and now, in 2019, Trey Sansom has joined us, as a church planting vicar. Harvest Partnership invests spiritual, relational, intellectual, physical and financial capital to multiply churches and disciples.

The model which this partnership uses for church planting is identified as a residency model. It is based on the Texas District's framework right place, right person, right plan.”  The right place is the targeted region which the partnership identifies. The right person is sought through prayer and the search efforts of partners. The right plan is the clarification of the approach for planting which the church planting pastor defines. During the initial residency year, the church planting pastor visits the partner churches with an attitude that God wants to grow his church and sometimes that means people will leave one local congregation to help start another. A high level of trust and Kingdom focus results in a launch filled with joy and anticipation for what God is doing.
